That implies the killer knew the victim
or at least knew the victim's surname.
Implying the killer has a London upbringing
is probably taking it a bit too far.

Killer just picking up someone's hair
from the back of some hairdressing salon.
making this specious specificity irrelevant.

"...
Chemical and isotope analysis on the hair by Stuart Black, an expert in
environmental radioactivity at Reading University, showed its owner lived in
the UK but visited the Valencia-Almeria area of eastern Spain, and/or the
Marseilles-Perpignan area of southern France for up to six days, roughly 11
weeks before it was cut. The hair's owner also travelled to Tampa, Florida,
for eight days about two and a half weeks before the hair was cut. ..."

ps
What they aren't telling you about DNA profiles
and what Special Branch don't want you to know.

When contamination of crime scenes with other peoples DNA becomes popular,
the police and prosecution services with have to take a step back and accept
that their problems are not as clear cut as they would like. Also growing
and analysing a DNA specimen from a 10 pico gram sample at a crime scene
will also produce an extremely dubious conclusion.

I went to an event with lots of ALF type people the other day. I'm a
(increasingly in this scene - eco/protest etc) known as a campaigner
for Native Americans, and the Makah:

The 'animal rights hegmony' view of eating way meat tends to be a
blanket denouniation, and they have caused lots of trouble for these
good people since the Makah started whaling again. During the event I
had a bit of a set two with a female that writes for the 'Schnews'
Magazine.

Anyway, the fact is that the 'scene SIMPLY FUCKING WELL HAS TO
AKNOLEDGE THE REALITY OF MAKAH SOVEREIGNTY AND THEIR RIGHT TO
TRADITIONAL TRIBAL GIVE AWAY HUNTUING OF WHALES FULL FUCKING STOP.

So you'd better be aware of the rights and wrongs of the issues 'Jo'
etc. I also suggest that you return my fleece jacket and moblile. You
are in trouble you fucking ALF headcase/s for sure. Oh and I wouldn't
bother trying to fit me up with those items...

Take care disrespectful towny idiot/s, and HAVE SOME RESPECT:

MAKAH TRIBAL SOVEREIGNTY!

That seems an extremely unlikely scenario for anything but the most
meticulously planned crimes, though. Most crimes are opportunistic AIUI,
so I doubt it'll be a regular occurrence.

There would be a likelihood of a rise in false convictions, and
subsequent compensation claims.
